Dr. Ir. Asri Insiana Putri, MP

Dr. Ir. Asri Insiana Putri, MP is a Principal Researcher at the Applied Botany Research Center, Research Organization for Life Sciences and Environment, under Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Soil Microbiology from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), as well as a doctoral degree in Forestry Science from the same university.
Her expertise lies in biotechnology, particularly plant tissue culture. Her research experience encompasses forestry plant development, plant breeding, genetic resource conservation, peatland rehabilitation, and the development of local plant species. She has contributed to scientific publications, books, and research innovations, including a registered patent for a disinfectant formulation developed to address gall rust disease in sengon (Falcataria moluccana). Her contributions to research and innovation have also been recognized through several national and international awards
